Key Responsibilities- Clean and Maintain Workspace: Ensure a safe and organized workspace, adhering to company standards.
- Repair and Replace Body Components: Replace front end components, body components, doors, and frame, as well as underbody components, to restore the vehicle's original condition.
- File, Grind, and Sand Body Surfaces: Use specialized equipment to file, grind, and sand body surfaces to be repaired, ensuring a smooth finish.
- Prepare Surfaces for Painting: Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting, ensuring a precise and even finish.
- Hammer Out Dents and Defects: Use blocks and hammers to remove dents, buckles, and defects from body surfaces.
- Remove and Replace Damaged Components: Remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills, and bolt or weld replacement parts into place.
- Apply Primers and Paint: Apply primers and repaint surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish.
- Mix and Match Paint Colors: Mix paint, blend, and match colors to achieve a precise match.
- Operate Soldering Equipment: Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams.
- Motor Vehicle Body Repairer Trade Certification: Possess a valid Motor Vehicle Body Repairer Trade Certification.
- Area of Work Experience: Have experience working with body components, doors, frame, front end components, and paint spraying.
- Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available for employees.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work in a fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Own Tools/Equipment: Possess steel-toed safety boots.
- Personal Suitability: Demonstrate accuracy, dependability, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, reliability, and teamwork skills.
- Experience: Have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the field.
