Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our critical care team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based, comprehensive, safe, effective, and ethical care to patients requiring respiratory therapy services.
Responsibilities- Support the functioning of the anesthesiology role in the Operating Room and Labour and Delivery.
- Manage mechanically ventilated patients, including modifying ventilation according to protocols.
- Assist in the transport of intubated patients.
- Ongoing assessment and intervention for high-risk respiratory failure patients.
- Achieve certification in intubation and arterial line insertion.
- Participate in the on-call rotation.
- Hold a valid certificate from the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario.
- Current BCLS, ACLS certification required; PALS and NPR certification an asset.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated previous clinical experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care.
- Home oxygen experience an asset.
- Excellent attendance and work record.
