Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our critical care team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based, comprehensive, safe, effective, and ethical care to patients requiring respiratory therapy services.

Responsibilities
  • Support the functioning of the anesthesiology role in the Operating Room and Labour and Delivery.
  • Manage mechanically ventilated patients, including modifying ventilation according to protocols.
  • Assist in the transport of intubated patients.
  • Ongoing assessment and intervention for high-risk respiratory failure patients.
  • Achieve certification in intubation and arterial line insertion.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation.
Requirements
  • Hold a valid certificate from the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario.
  • Current BCLS, ACLS certification required; PALS and NPR certification an asset.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated previous clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care.
  • Home oxygen experience an asset.
  • Excellent attendance and work record.
