Bakery Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Specialist to join our team at 3085496 NOVA SCOTIA LIMITED. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality baked goods, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation and Production: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Baking and Decorating: Bake mixed dough and batters, frost and decorate cakes and baked goods to meet established standards.
- Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
- Team Leadership: Hire and dismiss staff as needed, and oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods.
- Physical Demands: The job requires handling heavy loads, working in a physically demanding environment, and working under pressure.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
