Job Title: Tile Setter

Oxford County Renovations Ltd is seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered, mixing and applying adhesives, and setting tiles in place.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare surfaces for tile installation, including measuring and marking
  • Mix and apply adhesives, such as mortar and cement
  • Set tiles in place, ensuring proper alignment and straightness
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings
  • Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on tile installation techniques
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative designs
  • Install tile strips and other flooring materials
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling required
  • Permanent full-time position
  • 35-40 hours per week
  • English language required
