We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Valbella Gourmet Foods. As a key member of our butchery team, you will be responsible for cutting and preparing meats for our retail and wholesale customers.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and prepare meats for processing or cutting
- Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers
- Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat
- Grind meats and make special sausages
You will be working in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and handling heavy loads. Our butchery shop is a cold/refrigerated environment, and you will be working with a variety of equipment and machinery, including band saws, manual cutting utensils, power grinders, sausage machines, and slicing machines.
Requirements- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Reliability and accuracy
- Health care plan
- Permanent employment
- 40 hours per week
- English language of work
