About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and team-oriented individual to join our team at Edmonton Chrome Shop Inc as a Mechanic Helper. In this role, you will assist our skilled tradespeople with various tasks and responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist tradespeople with moving tools, equipment, and materials as needed.
  • Provide support during surveying activities, including holding stakes as required.
  • Signal safety procedures to other workers and the general public to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Help tradespeople, apprentices, and other workers as directed to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and organized workspace.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • This role is physically demanding and requires the ability to bend, crouch, and kneel.
  • Handling heavy loads is a regular part of this job.
Weight Handling
  • The maximum weight you will be required to handle is up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Personal Suitability
  • We are looking for someone who is reliable and a team player.
Experience
  • We are willing to train the right candidate.
  • This is a permanent position.
  • The working language is English.
  • The working hours are 40 hours per week.
