Job Title: Ethnic Food Cook

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ethnic Food Cook to join our team at QUIK CHIK. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of international dishes, including South Indian and West Indian specialties.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of quality and presentation, while working efficiently to meet the demands of our busy kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and high-quality food
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods
