We are a leading furniture and fixtures manufacturing company seeking an experienced Woodcraft Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with the ability to read blueprints, measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials.

Job Summary

The Woodcraft Specialist will be responsible for fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, as well as estimating costs and materials. This is a hands-on role that requires minimal supervision, with a focus on maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
• Prepare tenders and quotations
• Fitting and installation of windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
• Estimate costs and materials
• Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments

Requirements

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
• Ability to work at heights and with minimal supervision
• Public transportation available

Additional Information

The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
