About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Addiction Therapist to join our team at Interior Health Authority. This is a relief full-time position based out of Kelowna Community Health & Services centre in Kelowna, B.C.

About the Job

This role involves providing individual and group therapy as part of our substance use counselling team. The successful candidate will provide assessment, treatment, service coordination, and urgent response to clients with complex needs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Master's degree from an accredited educational institution in an Allied Health, Behavioural, or Social Science field relevant to the position
  • Two years' recent related experience in an alcohol and drug treatment environment or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • A current valid B.C. driver's license

In this role, you will make a significant impact by providing timely, evidence-based care and support to individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. You will offer personalized treatment, coordinate services across a continuum, and respond to crises, helping clients improve their physical health, relationships, and overall quality of life.
