Job Summary

Nu Star Transport Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our commercial transport fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on commercial transport trucks, including adjustments, replacements, and inspections of parts and components.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with truck systems, including electrical, hydraulic, and fuel systems.
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components as needed, ensuring all work is done to the highest standards.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed, ensuring accurate and detailed documentation.
Requirements
  • Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent mechanical skills, with a strong understanding of commercial transport systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with heavy equipment and transportation systems.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
