Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Grande Yellowhead Public School Division.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders in students. This is a full-time, 37.5 hour per week position, with a 10-month contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' communication and swallowing skills
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address identified needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student learning and development
  • Provide consultation and professional development to staff on topics related to communication and swallowing disorders
  • Stay current with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Alberta
  • Experience working with students with communication and swallowing disorders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
