About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Caregiver - Patient Support Specialist to join our team at Woodstock Diagnostic Imaging & Elgin Imaging Services. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for someone who wants to make a positive impact in the lives of our patients.

Job Description

In this role, you will provide personalized support to patients requiring assistance with daily living activities. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients throughout their stay with us. Your duties will include:

  • Weighing, lifting, turning, and positioning patients according to their needs
  • Delivering messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments as required
  • Maintaining patients' rooms, including making beds and keeping them tidy
  • Supervising patients' exercise routines and promoting physical activity to aid in their recovery
  • Managing inventory of supplies and ensuring that all necessary equipment is available and functional
  • Bathing, dressing, and grooming patients to maintain their dignity and comfort
  • Transporting patients between care facilities, using wheelchairs or stretchers as needed
  • Responding to call signals to determine patients' needs and address their concerns promptly
  • Providing first aid in emergency situations, following established protocols and guidelines
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • A minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • An ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining excellent interpersonal skills and client-focused attitude
  • The capacity to lift, move, and position patients safely, adhering to established weight limits and protocols
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 per annum, based on 35 hours of work per week. This figure is an estimate and may vary depending on location and other factors.
