Job Overview

AECOM is seeking an Electrical Systems Design Specialist to join our team. This position is based in Western Canada, with remote work options available.

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per yearJob Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to design and develop electrical systems for buildings projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical design, including Transit and Municipal, Commercial, and Institutional projects, Justice, Education, and Government.

The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Design Development: Developing various types of reports, including schematic design, design development, building assessment, and design build/assist scope of work documents.
  • Electrical Drawings and Specifications: Preparing electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Project Coordination: Implementing design concepts through the preparation and production of drawings to detail medium voltage power utility design coordination, low voltage power, fire alarm, lighting, and specialty low voltage systems rough-ins.
  • Technical Support: Providing technical and administrative support throughout all phases of the project.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field + two (2) years of relevant experience in electrical design on buildings projects.
  • Professional Engineering license required.

Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.
