Interior Health Authority is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join their team at Kelowna General Hospital.
We offer an exciting opportunity to work as a member of the Cardiac Surgery multidisciplinary team, providing comprehensive care to patients throughout the continuum of inpatient cardiac surgery care.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing independent and collaborative patient management, including diagnosis and treatment of short-term, chronic, and acute health problems.
- Prescribing and ordering appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions, as well as managing post-operative complications in conjunction with Cardiac Surgeons.
- Performing office procedures, such as suture removals, wound debridement, and application of advanced wound technologies.
- Determining appropriate consultations/referrals to other health professionals and community agencies, and coordinating patient care.
