Job Description

This position involves working in an air-conditioned facility with 12-hour shifts on a rotating day and night schedule. As a Production Machine Operator, you'll be responsible for performing various tasks such as job set-ups, adjustments, startups, and shutdowns according to specifications and standard operating procedures. You'll also need to monitor and inspect production, equipment condition, and report any findings to the supervisor or specialist.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role starts at $26.00 per hour with scheduled increases every 3 months during the first year, potentially reaching up to $28.00 when fully proficient. Additionally, you'll be eligible for full benefits and RRSP after 3 months of employment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this position, you should have a minimum high school diploma or equivalent, with basic knowledge and hands-on experience in press operation. Previous experience in industrial manufacturing or a similar industry is preferred, particularly with press operator background. You'll also have the opportunity to train for blow film extrusion and multilayer extrusion.

Location and Job Type

This job is located in Barrie, Ontario, and is a permanent, full-time position with a 2-week rotation of days and nights. To ensure your success in this role, you must be flexible and willing to work rotating shifts.
