Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic to join our team at Tabreed Thermal Control Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance
    • Measure and lay out reference points for installation of refrigeration and air conditioning components
    • Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components
    • Measure, cut, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment
    • Start up system and test for leaks using testing devices
  • Maintenance and Repair
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as recharging system with refrigerant, checking and testing regulators, and calibrating system
    • Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, or heat pump systems
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety protocols and regulations
    • Handle, recover, and store refrigerants in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure smooth operations
    • Collaborate with other teams to achieve company goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Other trades certificate or diploma
    • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade Certification
  • Experience and Skills
    • 5 years or more of experience in refrigeration and air conditioning maintenance and repair
    • Strong knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including heat pumps and ventilation systems
    • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
    • Valid driver's license
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for extended periods, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve company goals and objectives.

Language and Work Environment

The primary language of work is English, and the successful candidate must be fluent in English. The work environment is on the road, and the successful candidate must be able to travel to various locations as required.
