At Genron Enterprises 2007 Ltd., we are seeking a skilled Journeyman/Woman Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with experience in measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, as well as scheduling and coordinating work on sites. Instructing apprentices and ensuring a safe working environment will also be key responsibilities.

We are looking for a reliable and efficient individual with excellent oral communication skills, a client-focused approach, and the ability to work well in a team. A valid driver's licence and own transportation are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Scheduling and coordinating work on sites
  • Instructing apprentices
  • Ensuring a safe working environment

Requirements:

  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate
  • Working at heights training
  • Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) clearance Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Own transportation
