About the Opportunity

Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking an Anesthesiologist to join their team at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.

The centre provides high-quality, efficient care to residents of Amherst and surrounding areas, as well as specialty services for residents of Cumberland County.

The Anesthesiologist will be responsible for providing care to patients in a full scope of practice, including surgical services such as general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, and ENT.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing anesthesia services to patients in a variety of settings
  • Participating in call shifts and providing support to the Northern Zone
  • Operating within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care

The ideal candidate will have certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).

The Anesthesiologist will be responsible for:

  • Providing anesthesia services to patients in a variety of settings
  • Participating in call shifts and providing support to the Northern Zone
  • Operating within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care

The Anesthesiologist will work in a team environment and be responsible for providing high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The Anesthesiologist will be required to work a full-time schedule, including on-call shifts.
