Job Title: Teacher: Student Support

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teacher: Student Support to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to students with special needs, working collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement individualized education plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to students with special needs, including those with exceptionalities and English language learners
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Model and lead professional learning communities to support teacher development and student learning
  • Develop and implement positive school environment approaches to classroom management
  • Experience with Balanced Literacy Strategies and differentiated instruction
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in the role of Special Education/Student Support Teacher
  • Experience in collaborative support to students in the effective implementation of formative assessment and differentiated instruction
  • Positive school environment approaches to classroom management
  • Experience with Balanced Literacy Strategies
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
