Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for electrical engineering? Phasor Engineering Inc. is seeking a highly motivated High Voltage Power Delivery Systems Engineer to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced engineer to assist in the design of overhead and underground power delivery systems ranging from 4kV to 69kV. This includes creating detailed scopes and estimates, performing calculations, and developing design drawings following applicable utility, national, or international standards and codes.

Responsibilities
  1. Design and Development: Assist in the design of high-voltage power delivery systems, including creation of detailed scopes and estimates, and development of design drawings.
  2. Permitting and Compliance: Knowledge of permitting processes (highway, railroad, city, county, etc.) and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  3. Data Management: Collect, interpret, and organize project engineering and vendor data.
  4. Team Collaboration: Interface with senior personnel to resolve potential technical and project issues.
  5. Engineering Standards: Assist in compiling and maintaining internal engineering standards and work practices.
  6. Project Coordination: Coordinate with other business units to verify their project design requirements and delivery schedule.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering with a minimum of Five years' related experience.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office software suite of programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various Canadian Distribution Standards and design experience within the Ontario region.
  • Familiarity with drafting software such as Quickpole and SpidaCalc.
  • Prior experience working on high-voltage power delivery systems projects.

The estimated salary for this role is around $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
