Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the planting of trees, gardens, and lawns, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to project timelines.
  • Hire, supervise, and schedule staff to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks.
  • Organize and plan the planting of trees, gardens, and lawns, taking into account factors such as weather, soil conditions, and plant species.
  • Resolve work problems by providing technical advice to increase the value and functionality of a property.
  • Schedule work to ensure timely completion of projects and meet client expectations.
  • Plan and direct grounds maintenance, including mowing, pruning, and other tasks as required.
  • Plan and estimate labour and materials for projects, ensuring accurate budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Plan, manage, and supervise landscape construction work, including the installation of hardscapes, water features, and other outdoor features.
  • Maintain accurate work records and logs, including project timelines, budgets, and personnel information.
  • Repair and maintain equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and meets safety standards.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support project completion.
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience in landscaping or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Basic security clearance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour and work in outdoor conditions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
