The Pharmacy Operations Director will oversee the development and implementation of operational strategies to drive business growth, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities



  1. Motivate and lead a high-performance operations team, coaching and developing team members regularly to develop leadership talent and help team members achieve success in their roles.
  2. Manage day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and workflow optimization.
  3. Foster a success-oriented, accountable, performance-driven team-based environment.
  4. Lead and represent our values that reflect our guiding beliefs.
  5. Play a key role in activating skills and capabilities on the front lines of the business to successfully deliver against objectives and to achieve sustainable and growing financial performance.
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant pharmacy laws, regulations, and policies, maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.
  7. Recruit, train, and supervise pharmacy staff. Provide leadership, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  8. Implement quality assurance measures to uphold the accuracy and integrity of pharmaceutical services.
  9. Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining positive relationships with customers.
  10. Coordinate with other departments, healthcare providers, and vendors to enhance pharmacy services and operations.
  11. Monitor budgets, expenses, and revenue generation, identifying areas for cost-efficiency and improvement.
  12. Communicates long-term direction and collaborates with team on how to reach it.
  13. Communicates a new direction or change with a clear rationale and/or sense of urgency.
  14. Ability to manage complex, multi-site healthcare services across disparate geographies.
  15. Drive operational improvement development, awareness, monitoring, and reporting to build a strong culture of performance management.
  16. Collective bargaining agreements, reviews current contracts and may renegotiate terms as needed, executes letter agreements associated with specific collective bargaining unit changes for renewals/replacements.
  17. Assist in design and implementation of core operating strategies, structures, and processes that position the business for long-term success including but not limited to, focused P&L management, continuous quality improvement initiatives, and improved clinical outcomes.
  18. Execute and improve operational processes and efficiencies and support the continued development of appropriate infrastructure, to maximize productivity and financial performance location-by-location and in aggregate across the network.
  19. Willingness to roll up sleeves and assist with projects as needed from execution to completion; ability to make sound decisions without compromising integrity.
  20. Contribute to organizational goal achievement through data analysis and input as required for project planning, forecasting, budgeting and overall strategic planning.
  21. Risk management knowledge applied in your role such as interdependencies or risks between work streams to business leads, seeking to problem solve and mitigate actions.
  22. Builds consensus among various stakeholders and levels of an organization on priorities and resource allocation.

Requirements



  • Master's degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Proven experience in pharmacy operations or management.
  • Good knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy software and technology.

Compensation


We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.
