Salary and BenefitsThe psychiatrist will provide a minimum of 2-5 half-days of work per week in a blended billing model (Sessional and Fee-for-service). Physicians are responsible for their own billings.
Job DescriptionIn accordance with the standards of practice and the established vision and values of Vancouver Coastal Health, the psychiatrist who accepts this position will evaluate, diagnose and provide state-of-the-art, general adult outpatient & concurrent disorders treatment for patients of ages 18 and up suffering from a combination of addiction and other psychiatric disorders.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A Medical Degree and eligibility for Full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
- Specialist qualification in Psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
- Eligibility for a clinical faculty appointment with the UBC Faculty of Medicine.
- A demonstrated ability working as a member of an interdisciplinary mental health team.
