Grand River Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Director, Integrated Clinical & Corporate Applications to join our Digital Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the planning, development, and management of clinical and corporate digital applications, ensuring effective integration and utilization of digital technologies to enhance patient care and streamline operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the digital applications strategy in alignment with the hospital's overall goals and strategic vision.
- Provide leadership and direction for the digital services team, ensuring effective collaboration across departments.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of clinical and corporate applications.
- Ensure applications meet the needs of clinical and administrative stakeholders, enhancing efficiency and patient care.
- Work closely with clinical leaders, Chief Practice Information Officer (CPIO), IT professionals, and administrative staff to identify and address application needs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in digital healthcare applications.
- Manage the budget for digital applications, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
- Vendor relations including knowledge of existing contracts, obligations, and life cycle management.
- Oversee the training of staff on new applications and updates.
- Provide ongoing support to ensure optimal use of digital tools.
- Work with CPIO and Professional Practice on digital learning strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- ITIL, PMP, Change Management, Cloud, and AI certifications considered an asset.
- Proven experience with clinical and corporate applications in a hospital setting.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Experience and/or education in the negotiation and maintenance of IT contracts.
