Cybersecurity Professional: Open Lakehouse Architect

Dremio, a unified lakehouse platform for self-service analytics and AI, is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Senior Security Engineer to drive technical security initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will serve as a security expert, joining product and cloud security uplift efforts, designing and implementing security automation tools, developing and maturing Dremio's incident response playbook, running risk assessment and remediation work, participating and responding to security incidents, working with various stakeholders to perform root cause analysis, researching and evaluating new and emerging security trends, and participating in security efforts for compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serving as a Security Expert: You will be the go-to person for security-related matters within the organization.
  • Product and Cloud Security Uplift: Collaborate with our teams to enhance product and cloud security features.
  • Designing and Implementing Security Automation Tools: Develop and implement tools to automate security processes.
  • Incident Response Playbook Development: Mature our incident response plan to ensure seamless responses to security incidents.
  • Risk Assessment and Remediation: Identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Participating in Security Incidents: Respond to and resolve security incidents in a timely manner.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Work with stakeholders to determine the root cause of security issues.
  • Emerging Security Trends Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies.
  • Compliance Efforts: Participate in security efforts related to compliance standards such as ISO27001, SOC 2, PCI, etc.
Requirements
  • 4-6 years of experience in information security or a related field.
  • Understanding of Cloud Infrastructure Security and its functioning, experience with CloudTrail, GCP Logging or similar.
  • Computer science or related degree or equivalent combination of professional development training and experience.
  • Hands-on experience with configuring and managing tools like SIEM, syslog, REST API-based logging parsers.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.
Estimated Salary:

$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
