**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Language Instructor to join our team at DIVERSEcity Community Resources Society in Surrey, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering language instruction to adult students at literacy to advanced levels.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop and deliver lessons that meet program curriculum and PBLA standards;
  • Prepare and deliver multi-level, student-centered lessons that cater to diverse learning needs;
  • Update and maintain accurate records related to students, including attendance and language progress;
  • Monitor and record student progress using PBLA metrics;
  • Address student-related concerns and report as required;
  • Stay current with Adult Education and TESL best practices;
  • Stay informed about local settlement trends and community needs.

**Requirements**

  • Baccalaureate degree from a recognized university;
  • TESL certification from a TESL Canada recognized institute or equivalent;
  • Minimum 1-year experience in Canadian Adult ESL Education, preferably in ELSA or LINC programs;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CLBs and PBLA frameworks;
  • Exceptional written and oral English language communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic group environment.
