At Envision Financial, we are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Planning Director to lead our Wealth Planning and Advice team.

The Strategic Planning Director will provide leadership, direction, and coaching to the Wealth Advisor and Wealth Planning Specialist teams, emphasizing collaboration to ensure maximum sales and service delivery effectiveness across multiple client offers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wealth management, with expertise in investment, securities, and personal insurance products and services. They will also possess advanced knowledge of legislation and regulations related to wealth management.

The Strategic Planning Director will be responsible for developing and managing the annual business plan for approval by the Divisional President and Head of Wealth Management. They will ensure that the business plan, marketing plans, and operations align with the company's strategic direction and long-term critical success factors.

The Strategic Planning Director will also manage relationships and partnerships with various lines of business management, establish and maintain contact with high-profile members, business, and community groups, and may deal directly with members when issues arise.

The Strategic Planning Director will ensure that risk management processes and procedures are in place and functional to manage fraud, reduce potential losses, and meet corporate objectives. They will also review policy and procedure issues and recommend or approve changes and/or exceptions as required.

The Strategic Planning Director will produce defined funds under administration growth, net sales growth, gross and net revenue growth, while managing to a defined cost budget to deliver a net positive contribution to the company. They will also monitor the progress of sales volumes to business/sales plan monthly and develop and execute the overall strategy and objectives for wealth product lines (existing and new), supplier arrangements, service delivery, pricing, resource requirements, sales, and service support.

The Strategic Planning Director will also provide coaching and support to the development of the mutual fund salesforce, Branch Managers, and Regional Directors of Retail in their learning and development of providing advice and coaching to advice.

Required skills and experience include a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, or a related discipline, a Canadian Securities License, and 9 years of experience in the financial industry. The ideal candidate will also possess a Financial Planning, CFP, or CFA designation, expert knowledge of wealth products and services, and advanced knowledge of legislation and regulations related to wealth management.

The Strategic Planning Director will be a strong leader with excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of people, and a proven ability to develop and execute on strategic sales and service plans.

The Strategic Planning Director will also have a strong understanding of risk and risk ownership, with the ability to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures. They will be proficient in computer software programs, including NaviPlan, Microsoft Office, and banking software programs.

The Strategic Planning Director will be a strong financial planning professional with excellent change management skills and the ability to adapt and work in ambiguity.
