Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Router Operator/Programmer to join our team in Grimsby, Ontario. As a CNC Router Operator/Programmer, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC routers to produce high-quality parts. You will work closely with our manufacturing team to ensure efficient production and meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC routers to produce high-quality parts
  • Program and nest new and repeat parts using SolidWorks and hyperMILL
  • Accurately interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Set up parts and tools, and measure parts to ensure accuracy
  • Perform inspections and quality checks on completed parts
  • Communicate with the manufacturing team to ensure proper quantity of tooling and materials
  • Collaborate with mechanical designers as needed
  • Perform general cleaning of the workspace and machine maintenance
  • Ensure the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and company policies
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience programming and operating a CNC router
  • CNC programming experience using similar CAD/CAM software preferred
  • General machining knowledge an asset
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Experience using measuring equipment including gauges, micrometers, verniers, etc.
  • Proven high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Mechanically inclined and strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-function team
  • Team-oriented and demonstrated ability to collaborate with others
  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices in a manufacturing environment
