Job Title: Concrete Finisher

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at NEXTDOOR CONTRACTORS INC. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on concrete surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement
  • Operate power vibrators to compact concrete
  • Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification
  • Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
  • Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures
  • Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces
  • Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Ability to work outdoors in wet/damp conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Client focus and flexibility
  • Dependability and ability to work as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the construction industry
  • Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques and materials
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
