English Language and Social Studies Instructor

We are seeking a Part-Time English and Social Studies Teacher/Tutor for our learning centre at Oxford Learning St. Albert. This role is perfect for individuals who love working with students, enjoy teaching language and social studies, and are passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.

Tutor-teachers at Oxford Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
  • Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Filling in post-lesson notes
  • Completing daily student communication updates
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

We encourage applicants to apply if they have:

  • A Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • Experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
