Job Title: Assistant Restaurant Manager

Canada Inc is seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant's profits
  • Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement
  • Modify food preparation methods and menu prices according to the restaurant budget
  • Monitor revenues to determine labour cost
  • Monitor staff performance and provide coaching and feedback
  • Plan and organize daily operations to ensure seamless execution
  • Recruit and train staff to meet business needs
  • Set staff work schedules and ensure adequate coverage
  • Supervise staff to ensure high-quality service and food preparation
  • Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms
  • Conduct performance reviews to evaluate staff performance
  • Cost products and services to ensure profitability
  • Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure efficient operations
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities
  • Participate in marketing plans and implementation to drive sales growth
  • Leading/instructing individuals to achieve business objectives
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns to ensure exceptional customer service
  • Provide customer service to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to achieve business objectives

  • Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.)
  • Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.)
  • Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition
  • Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees
  • Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people
  • Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
  • Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations
  • Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
  • Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers
Supports for Visible Minorities:
  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities
  • Applies hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities (for example: anonymizing the hiring process, etc.)
  • Offers mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees
  • Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities
