Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Service: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, and prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Kitchen Operations: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, order supplies and equipment, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
- Inventory and Record-Keeping: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and clean kitchen and work areas.
- Staff Management: Recruit and hire staff, and manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient and effective food production and service.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Skills: Attention to detail, fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and work under pressure.
- Personal Qualities: Client focus, dependability, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, and time management.
