Road Marking Labourer

Main Responsibilities

As a Labourer with Lafrentz Road Marking, you will be responsible for contributing to the team's road marking projects while ensuring a safe and healthy work environment. You will learn our processes and maintain proper awareness of your surroundings. Your tasks will include performing daily vehicle and equipment inspections, keeping current and accurate driver logs, and executing temporary traffic accommodations. You will also assist operators, lead hands, and foremen in their duties.

Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED is an asset.
  • A valid driver's license (Class 5) with a recent commercial drivers abstract is required.
  • You must own reliable transportation, as public transit is not available in Acheson.
  • You must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • You must be able to perform manual labour, including lifting up to 40kg/90lbs.
  • You must be willing to work out of town occasionally, for up to 2 weeks at a time, in AB, BC, SK, YT, NWT, and MB.
  • You must be willing to work occasional night shifts.
  • Construction experience is an asset.
  • Experience with safety regulations and safe practices is an asset.
  • You must be able to work in uncertain outdoor conditions.
  • You must be able to work overtime hours.
  • You must comply with our Drug and Alcohol Policy, including a no-tolerance policy on Cannabis use.
Total Compensation
  • Salary starting at $20 per hour, paid weekly.
  • Regular overtime hours.
  • Night shift premium.
  • Per-diem paid when working outside the Edmonton area.
  • Hotel rooms booked and paid for by the company.
  • Group health benefits (dental, vision, medical, disability, life) after successful completion of a 90-day probationary period.
  • Group Registered Pension Plan (RPP) after successful completion of a 90-day probationary period.
