About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Katsu Express. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for planning and executing menu items, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that meet the needs of our customers and align with our brand's culinary vision.
    • Estimate food requirements and manage inventory to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
  • Food Preparation and Presentation
    • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
    • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Train and mentor kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality.
    • Lead by example and promote a positive and productive work environment.
  • Supply Chain Management
    • Order supplies and equipment to maintain optimal kitchen operations and minimize downtime.
    • Manage inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance
    • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working order.
Requirements
  • Culinary Expertise
    • Proven experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with a focus on Japanese and Korean cuisine.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills
    • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Attention to Detail and Organizational Skills
    • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
