Job Summary
This role involves supervising and leading a team of logistics professionals to meet daily operational demands and support the generation, distribution, transmission, and delivery of safe and reliable energy to FortisBC customers within a designated geographical area and/or facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Become familiar with software applications relevant to the role, including SAP, Power BI, Utility Risk Management (URM), Accounts Payable Express, Primavera, and others.
- Gain a general understanding of budgeting and financial oversight processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage and dispatch work safely, effectively, and efficiently, ensuring quality oversight and compliance with work and industry standards, applicable metrics, and operational requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or Diploma of Technology in a related discipline, plus four to seven years of related field experience in a leadership capacity or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Excellent leadership skills and adaptability to work and provide supervision in a fast-paced environment while managing changing priorities.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage high-stress situations (emergencies) in a calm manner.
- Great collaboration skills to innovate on existing processes, support colleagues with their development needs, and excel in a team environment.
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer systems with demonstrated experience using Workspace, SAP, and Power BI.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this role is between $93,300.00 and $115,800.00 annually, depending on experience.
