Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Analyst to join our Reactor & Major Components - Analysis team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design analysis of CANDU reactor components, systems, and structures, including mechanical equipment. Your expertise in engineering calculations, technical report preparation, and design document review will be invaluable in supporting our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a team to complete the design analysis of CANDU reactor components, systems, and structures
Conduct engineering calculations to support design nuclear pressure boundary components
Prepare formal technical reports
Review design documents, calculations, and analysis reports
Prepare engineering budgets and support proposal preparation
Execute engineering activities within budget and schedule
Provide accurate reporting of engineering work to technical and project managers
Provide prompt response and engineering resolutions on any critical engineering-related matters

Requirements

Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) from a university of recognized standing
Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario
At least 8-12 years of related work experience in the field of design and analysis of complex mechanical systems or equipment
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Experience in finite element analysis using ANSYS/LS-DYNA/ABAQUS
