About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mason to join our team at Granitek Masonry Ltd. as a Bricklayer.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and Lay Masonry Units: Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles, or other masonry units as required.
• Construct and Install Masonry Units: Construct and install prefabricated masonry units to build residential or commercial structures.
• Build Decorative Installations: Build patios, garden walls, and other decorative installations as needed.
• Read Blueprints: Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required for each project.
• Cut and Trim Masonry Units: Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools.

Physical Demands of the Role

The role of a Bricklayer is physically demanding and requires handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the masonry industry.
• Work Setting: Commercial, Industrial, and Residential settings.
• Personal Qualities: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, reliability, and team player qualities are essential for success in this role.

Working Conditions and Safety Equipment

The working conditions for this role are physically demanding, and candidates must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment. Safety equipment, such as steel-toed safety boots, hard hats, and gloves, is required to ensure a safe working environment.

Work Language and Hours

The work language is English, and the work hours are 35 to 44 hours per week.
