This role is part of our Logistics team, supporting large-scale building and infrastructure construction projects across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine equipment operation and inspect machines for faults and malfunctions.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, fixtures, or components using hand or power tools.
  • Determine mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults and failures using computerized and other monitoring equipment.
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure it is in good working order and meets manufacturer requirements.
  • Produce an inspection certificate after repair and inspection.
  • Clean and lubricate equipment and perform routine maintenance.
  • Discuss vehicle operations, general condition, and future repairs with supervisor.
  • Attend training courses related to new equipment and machinery.

Requirements:

  • A Heavy Vehicle Mechanic certification.
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience working on large engine machinery.
  • Familiarity with the CAT ET diagnostic system and various types of heavy machinery used in the construction industry.
