Job Title: Retail Store Supervisor

Furniture Ville is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our sales floor and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that they are adequately trained to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for their training, to ensure that they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
  • Authorize payments by cheque and manage our store's finances effectively.
  • Order merchandise and manage our inventory levels to ensure that we have the right products in stock to meet customer demand.
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that our sales floor is adequately staffed at all times.
  • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of our sales staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to help inform our business decisions.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints and supply shortages, in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
Work Environment:

Furniture Ville is a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment. As a Retail Store Supervisor, you will be required to work in a standing position for extended periods and be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
