Job Title: Transit Driver

Location: Hazelton, BC

PWTransit is seeking a Transit Driver to safely transport passengers on assigned routes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, be organized, punctual, and reliable, and have a good knowledge of the local area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport passengers on assigned routes
  • Manage passenger behavior by solving problems quickly and effectively
  • Drive safely and responsibly, and be prepared for all road and traffic conditions
  • Provide superior customer service and assist with passenger inquiries

Requirements:

  • A valid Class 1 or 2 driver's license or Class 4 unrestricted driver's license
  • Driver's abstract with no more than 3 demerit points
  • Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol screening
  • Clear criminal record
  • Must be organized, punctual, and reliable
  • Possess excellent driving skills and habits
  • Ability to read maps and navigate
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • A good knowledge of the local area is a definite asset
  • Willing to work shifts, including split shifts and weekends
