Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing full-time care and support to children in a family setting
  • Assuming full responsibility for household duties in the absence of parents
  • Performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Preparing and serving nutritious meals
  • Supervising and caring for children
  • Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Child Abuse Registry check
  • Child welfare check
  • Criminal record check
  • Driving record check (abstract)
  • Drug test
  • Medical exam
  • Vulnerable sector check
  • Basic security clearance
Work Environment

This is a temporary position with 40 hours of work per week. The work site environment is non-smoking and scent-free. Public transportation is available, and travel expenses will be paid by the employer.
