Risk Management Excellence at Sun Life Financial

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Risk Management Officer to join our team at Sun Life Financial.

This is a full-time opportunity that offers a competitive salary range of $78,000 - $128,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing third-party risk management policy requirements and underlying programs to support third-party risk management across the enterprise.

Your primary focus will be on maintaining the Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) program through innovation, collaboration, and transformation initiatives. You will work closely with Business Group Risk Office teams to ensure effective roll-out of program changes.

You will assist in the maintenance and ongoing enhancement of a Third Party Risk program, including updates to TPRM Policy and Enterprise Operating Guideline (EOG). Additionally, you will monitor compliance with TPRM governance policy, track and report non-compliances, Key Risk Indicators, and Key Performance Indicators.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Finance, or a related field, and/or certification. They should also possess 7+ years of risk management experience, with 3+ years of experience supporting TPRM Programs, controls, and processes, preferably within a major Federally Regulated Financial Institution.

A strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities are essential for this role. The ability to influence and communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences is also required.

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be proactive in adapting to changing industry and organizational needs. They should also demonstrate well-developed writing and visual presentation skills to articulate analytics results and options effectively.

Bonus points if you have knowledge of third-party risk management principles and factors contributing to third-party risk. Understanding of different risk domains pertaining to third-party risk management is also beneficial.
