Horizon School Division is committed to fostering a culture of excellence in education, where every learner thrives. As a Family School Liaison Counsellor, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and personal growth of students and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and school staff to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
- Provide guidance and support to students and families on academic, social, and emotional issues.
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to identify and address student needs, and develop strategies to promote student success.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and involve them in the learning process.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in school counselling and family engagement.
The regular work schedule for this position includes:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
- Friday: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
- One scheduled full day on Friday per month
