We are currently seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our Radiology team at Invermere District Hospital in the scenic Columbia Valley.

This position involves working rotating shifts, including Days and Evenings with varied shift times, and requires the ability to provide a variety of laboratory, x-ray, and ECG procedures in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and standards.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills further by taking additional courses, such as CT cross-sectional anatomy. As a valued member of our team, you will contribute to providing high-quality patient care and diagnostic services to the community we serve.

Key Responsibilities
  • To perform a range of laboratory and diagnostic imaging procedures, including blood tests, urinalyses, and x-rays;
  • To accurately record and report results, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to quality assurance standards;
  • To participate in continuing education and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge;
  • To collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication;
  • To maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control protocols.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved Combined Laboratory X-Ray Technician program;
  • Eligibility for registration with a provincial licensing body;
  • One year of general experience in laboratory and diagnostic imaging fields or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience;
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations.
