Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Kinesiologist to join our team at pt Health. As a Kinesiologist, you will play a vital role in providing occupational rehabilitation services to our clients. Your expertise in kinesiology will enable you to design and implement effective exercise programs, conduct functional assessments, and provide education to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct biomechanical, fitness, and functional assessments to identify client needs and goals.
  • Design and implement graded exercise, work conditioning, and work hardening programs to promote client recovery and independence.
  • Perform biweekly reassessments of client progress through functional testing and adjust programs as needed.
  • Record functional and subjective findings in client charts and maintain accurate records.
  • Work collaboratively with clients to set and achieve functional goals, promoting client autonomy and empowerment.
  • Conduct group orientation and education lectures, as well as one-on-one education sessions, to educate clients on their condition and treatment plan.
  • Complete functional components of reports for initial, progress, and discharge, ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation.
  • Ensure return-to-work plans with the client and employer have been made and documented in the client chart.

Requirements:

  • Registered with the College of Kinesiology of Ontario.
  • Graduate of a university Kinesiology degree program.
  • Preferably, with 1-3 years of work experience specializing in Occupational Rehabilitation and Functional Assessment, an asset.
  • New Graduates licensed as Kinesiologists are welcome to apply.
