Carpenter Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Canadian Boys Construction. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing structures and fixtures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to create structures and fixtures.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites.
  • Estimate costs and materials for projects.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures.
Work Environment:

As a Carpenter, you will work in a fast-paced construction environment with varying weather conditions. You will be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty conditions.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in the trade.
  • Permanent employment.
  • 30 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
