Senior Network Architect

Our client, a leading organization in Calgary, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Consultant to join their team. This individual will have a deep understanding of network infrastructure and be responsible for providing advanced network design, management, and assessment services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage complex network solutions to ensure scalability, security, and reliability.
- Conduct thorough assessments of existing network infrastructure and recommend enhancements where necessary.
- Lead network migrations and oversee end-to-end project delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve high-level network issues in a hybrid work environment.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams to align network operations with overall business objectives.
Technical Requirements:
- Cisco Network Expertise (Routers, Switches, Wireless, SD-WAN, Security and Cisco ISE & ACS)
- Extensive experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including configuring, managing, and troubleshooting for robust network security.
- Meraki: Proficient in managing MX security appliances, MS switches, and MR access points.
- F5 Load Balancers: Experience in configuring and managing LTM solutions within client networks.
- Cloud: Practical knowledge of cloud networking (Azure/AWS), including setting up VPN tunnels from on-premises environments to the cloud.
- Network Monitoring: Familiarity with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk, and Cisco DNA Center to ensure network health and performance.
- Technologies: Advanced understanding of protocols like OSPF, BGP, VXLAN, VPN, and VRF, as well as SD-WAN and wireless networking.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CCNA and CCNP certifications
Contract Details:
- 3-month contract
- Rate: $80-$85/hour for an incorporated consultant
- Hybrid work model: 3 days/week onsite
