Your strong communication skills, both written and oral, will be essential in interacting with other drivers, maintenance, operations, and the public you serve. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, patient, and dedicated individual who can work independently and as part of a team. This part-time position offers a minimum of 20 hours per week with the potential for increased hours over the summer. Shifts can include days, evenings, weekends, and overnights. Your duties will include completing charters as assigned, checking the charter waybill to confirm details, driving safely and responsibly, and ensuring compliance with Hours of Service. You will also be responsible for managing your workload, ensuring all details related to the assigned charter are understood, and completing all applicable paperwork. Additionally, you will be required to maintain radio contact and use proper radio protocol, manage passenger behavior, and communicate with dispatch at your scheduled time. You will also be responsible for fueling the bus as required, maintaining a clean bus, and completing and submitting DVCRs. If you are a team player with a positive attitude, calm and pleasant manner, and excellent driving skills and habits, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. The ideal candidate will possess a Class 1 or 2 driver's license, or be willing to obtain a Q Endorsement. Types of equipment driven can include transit, coach, and school bus, with training provided. If you are organized, punctual, and reliable, with a commitment to excellence in customer service, we want to hear from you. The wage for this position is $18 - $20 per hour.
