We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapy Support Specialist to join our team at Arvan Rehab Group. In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of a Physiotherapist to assist residents in implementing treatment programs and achieving their goals.

Job Summary

This is a part-time opportunity with an estimated 20 hours per week, commencing as soon as possible. Your primary responsibility will be to support the Physiotherapist in conducting group exercises and one-on-one therapy sessions for residents. You will also be required to document treatments and monitor resident progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with group exercises and lead individual therapy sessions as directed by the Physiotherapist.
  • Encourage residents to reach their treatment program goals.
  • Document treatments and resident progress after each session.
  • Support residents with mobility, including walking, sitting, and safe transferring.
  • Monitor changes in resident health status and report to the Physiotherapist or supervisor.
Requirements
  • Prior experience as a Physiotherapy Assistant graduate or equivalent.
  • Excellent multitasking skills and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with elderly residents, supervisors, and teammates.
  • Previous experience working in Ontario Long Term Care or Retirement homes.
  • Current police check for the Vulnerable Sector.
  • Valid 2-Step TB Test and/or Chest X-Ray.
