Accounting Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team at PBS MARKHAM. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, setting up and administering accounting systems, analyzing clients' financial records, preparing financial information, statements and reports, and providing financial advice.
About the RoleThis is a permanent full-time position with 30 hours of work per week. The salary for this role is $65,000 per year. Fluency in English is required.
Job DescriptionThe Accounting Specialist will play a key role in supporting the organization's financial operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Plan, set up and administer accounting systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency;
- Analyze clients' financial records to identify trends and areas for improvement;
- Prepare financial information, statements and reports for individuals, departments or companies;
- Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting and internal control procedures;
- Analyze financial documents and reports to inform business decisions;
- Examine accounting records to ensure compliance with regulations;
- Provide financial advice to stakeholders on budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in system administration and analysis. You will be a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a ability to work independently.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field;
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in an administrative role;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Fluency in English.
